Messy Room

Look at my messy room.
It's actually Mama and Papa's closet in the bedroom.
It's nice to sleep in here because it's dark and comfy.

I think I need to do some cleaning though,
I can hardly see the carpet on the floor.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends!
I hope your weekend is filled with family, friends and food!
Papa took me out to see some autumn foliage on Saturday.
I love car rides, especially when I get to take my stuffed puppy dog with me. Can you spot him?

The first place we went to was Blue Mountain.
That's right, the ski resort near Collingwood.

The trees are so pretty with their colours!

The mountain air was so nice and refreshing.
My lungs actually felt clean for once.

Doesn't it look like some of the trees are on fire?

I loved the sound of fallen leaves crunching under my feet!

This is on the way to Duncan Falls.
Can you believe you can see this on the highway?

Here I am at Duncan Falls.
Well actually this is the stream before the falls.

I loved being near the water, so I didn't want to leave.

This is the stream before Eugenia Falls.
Papa was throwing rocks into the stream and I ran out to get them.
Both Mama and Papa were surprised that I wanted to get wet!
The water was chilly, but I didn't care, I was having too much fun.

What did you do this weekend?

Free Stuff!!!

Mama got some free undies in the mail today! How crazy is that?!
I LOVE free stuff!!! And I love it even more when it's for me!

And these are designer undies too.
Who sends undies for free in the mail?

Even the packaging tastes more expensive.
I wish someone would send me free stuff!
I love cookies and toys.....

Happy October!

It's been a week since my last post, my apologies to my faithful readers! But I have a good reason for my absence, I've been doing some modeling! Ok maybe it's not quite modeling, I've been helping Mama out with her sewing. She finally gave in and bought a sewing machine at the end of summer. Her first project to break in the sewing machine was a Halloween costume for me! So I've been being a good model and trying to hold still while she pins things together on my frame.

I'll have to show you when I get all dressed up for Halloween, I don't want to spoil the fun by showing you now! I'll give you a hint, it's a magical costume! I must say that I think I look pretty good!

What will you dress up as for Halloween?

Thank You's

Mama took me to school with her today to meet some of the nice people she works with. They fed me Arrowroots and crackers, to the dismay of Mama, who doesn't normally let me eat those kinds of things. Mama says that eating all those carbs will make me portly, and I don't want to be portly at all!

I got a real big treat when Uncle Brian visited me outside on the lawn. We played on the grass in the afternoon sun and I had so much fun! When I got back to the lab, I got to see Auntie Trish too! What a great surprise for me!

All that excitement got to my head though because it took us extra long to get home. I didn't really feel like walking after being treated like a princess, I wanted Mama to pick me up and carry me. No matter how hard I tried to put up a fight, she didn't give in. In the end, I gave up and walked. It did take about 40 minutes though, even though Mama says it takes her 15 minutes from our home to the lab.

So thank you to everyone who visited me today in the lab, I really enjoyed your company! Hope to see you soon!

Chilly September Sunday

Okay so I'm cheating and I'm posting a picture from last Sunday, but I didn't go anywhere this chilly Sunday. It was miserable rainy weather today, grey and damp. It was nice yesterday, but much too humid. I just can't be satisfied!

It's been a quiet weekend. Nothing new to report. Except I did meet a pug named Gus and he was quite nice. I don't think that he liked that I was so feisty with him. That's about it.

Oh I overheard Mama saying that she was going to bring me to her work on Tuesday to meet some of the people that she has to teach for. I guess they've been bugging her for the past few years to meet me, but she's always resisted because a chemistry lab is no place for a puppy to play. But she's giving in to their persistance, probably just to make them stop bugging her. Maybe you can stop by to say hello?
What did you do this weekend?

Warm September Sunday

Today was such a nice day that we went to High Park.
We've never been to their off-leash park before,
so this was a treat for all of us.

We met a nice Japanese family there,
and this is their Jack Russel, Sakura. She's very nice.

We also met an Olde English Bulldogge named T-bone.
He's much bigger in real life than he is in the photo.
He's kind of drooly too.

I played fetch with this black lab.
Only he was much faster at catching the ball than I was.
But when I did get the ball, I didn't want to give it back!

Check out this huge stick I found! It almost looks like a big snake.
It didn't taste very good though.

On the way home I met a little furry caterpillar.
About 30 seconds later, someone stepped on him by accident.
He looked like uni afterwards.
What did you do today?

Avalanche Saturday

Papa opened up the front closet door and everything inside spilled out.

Looks like that shelf wasn't up to snuff.
What a mess. I'm glad I don't have to clean it up!

But look what I found in this disaster, a cookie!!
Must be my lucky day! I should buy me a lottery ticket!

Happy Birthday Uncle Brian!

I hope I get to be the first to wish Uncle Brian a happy birthday today!

You are the best Uncle I have, so I wish for you the happiest day today and that it carries over for every day of the year!

Remember to eat lots of cake too!

September's Bulldog Meetup

Today's bulldog meetup was at Riverdale Park.
We've never been here before, but we fell in love immediately!
The park is so spacious and I was actually allowed to run off-leash!!

This is Butkus.

Ruby on the left and Butkus on the right.
Can you see me?

One blonde and three brindles.

That's Priscilla in the centre.
I didn't meet the other two bullies though.

This is Walter. He's 10 years old!

Handsome Walter.

I can't remember his name, but he's good looking.

I don't know the little one's name. But the big on here is T.

I found me a stick to chew on.

A bum-sniffing train made of bulldogs.

I'm sitting with Papa, can you see me?

I'm sitting with Mama, can you see me?

The weather was just fine for a romp in the park with my bulldog friends.
And hey did I mention that I didn't get into any fights today?

Star Sighting

Papa, Mama, and I went for a walk tonight. We were hoping to find some famous celebrities. We must have been in the right spot at the right time, or our lucky stars were shining.

You won't believe who walked out of the Windsor Arms Hotel right in front of us: Mr. Dustin Hoffman!! The Rain Man himself! Ok, this shot is not the best, but we didn't want to make him feel too uncomfortable.

Check it out, he's so cool. And so nice too, he signed some autographs and then they sped off.

It was a successful evening for celebrity hunting.
Now if only we can run into Brad Pitt!

Happy September!

The beginning of the end of summer is marked with the end of the CNE, which is where Papa got this Stewie doll for me. The monkey didn't come from the CNE though.

Mama and Papa spent so much time at the CNE that they felt guilty about not spending more time with me over the summer's last long weekend. That's ok, because any raw feelings I had about it, I just took my frustrations out on Stewie.

I expect Mama and Papa to be walking me much more often in the next couple of weeks since the Toronto International Film Festival starts on Friday. And since we live so close to Yorkville, the streets should be crawling with celebs. Time to go hunting!

What A Bad Way to Start the Day

I woke up Mama at 6:30 this morning. And if you know Mama, you know that she rarely gets up that early. I really needed to go to the potty. It was very urgent if you know what I mean. So once I got outside (kind of chilly in the mornings now) I went number 2, then number 1, then number 2 again. Mama took me back inside, but I still wasn't feeling right as rain yet. About half an hour later, after Mama climbed back into bed, I barfed all over the floor. On her side of the bed too. Oops. I wonder if all of this has anything to do with me eating garbage from the floor? I guess I'll know for sure when I do it again later today.

I hope she's not too upset with me. I'll have to keep up my cute face. I don't think she can resist. What are your remedies for an upset tummy like mine?
