My Trip to the Vets

Here I am waiting to inside the vet's office. They usually give me cookies when I get there, but it was unusually busy this morning. I met a chocolate lab there too. She was very nice to me, but it seemed like she had an upset tummy even though she was very playful with me.

This cat was feisty. He came into my examination room while I was waiting for my medication. I thought I would be polite and go over to say hello. When I went over to him, he shook his one paw at me and hissed really loudly. So I reacted by raising my paws at him too. He didn't like that so much and left the room. But he sat at the door with his back to me the whole time, but turning his head to give me dirty looks from time to time. I decided on my way out that I wouldn't acknowledge his presence and ignored him. Stupid cat.

I now weigh 20.4kg (just about 45lbs if you're imperial), so I've gained just a little bit of weight since my last weigh in back in September. My blood tests should come back clean, so I'm not so concerned about my fattiness.

I Love Salad

Chicken caesar salad to be exact. The best part is the chicken. And the bacon bits. And the croutons. And the lettuce. I know! It's crazy! A dog that actually eats lettuce. I made chicken caesar salad for Mama and Papa for our dinner tonight. I worked so hard that they let me snooze on the couch by myself. Now that's a real treat.

I'm going to the vets tomorrow to get my annual heartworm checkup. They will poke me with a needle and take some blood. And then I have to take these awful pills once a month for heartworm and fleas. They taste so yucky that even if Mama hides them in peanut butter, I still manage to lick off the peanut butter and spit the pill back out. I'll let you know how the vets go tomorrow. I'm kinda looking forward to it, the vets always give me cookies to eat!

I'm Jumpy Sometimes

Auntie Trish came to visit on Friday and left some of her things here. I thought they were making noises. They stopped making noises right away when I barked at them.

Auntie Trish is fun, she likes to play tug with me. I wish she were still here!

Oops I Did It Again

Yup, I ate my new bed.

This time I was caught red-pawed.

So I wonder when they're going to IKEA to get me a new one.

I'm Bored

No news today. It's been a pretty slow week. I've been chillin with my toys all day. It did get really muggy today which reminded me of why I hate summertime. The thick air makes it so hard for me to breathe. I get noisier than usual.

One of the things I love about summertime is the annual Woofstock festival: www.woofstock.ca/
This year it's June 10 and 11 at St. Lawrence Market. I love going to this festival. I usually get free cookies and Papa buys me the coolest toys. I can't wait!

I'm not sure what building this is, but it's somewhere on the University of Toronto campus. I think I look really smart sitting in front of it. It's May 1st, have you paid your rent yet?

Mama bought me a plant yesterday. It's a money tree. I named him Tetsuya, he's kind of small right now, but one day he will be a big tree. I'll have to remind Mama to water him from time to time, she is so forgetful.

Papa took me out for a walk this afternoon and I ran into Lulu the black lab puppy. She was really excited to see me, and started to play, but she also needed to pee. It was funny cos she was peeing and playing at the same time! Puppies are so much fun.
